A biopharmaceutical, also known as a biological medical product, or biologic, is any pharmaceutical drug product manufactured in, extracted from, or semi synthesized from biological sources. Specialty drugs, a recent classification of pharmaceuticals, are high-cost drugs that are often biologics.
